Chinese New Year is coming up quickly, and it is a great time to try out a new Asian-inspired recipe! I wanted to make something that was KID-FRIENDLY, but still had the flavors of Asian cuisine. I loved how these Turkey Wonton Cups turned out, and the whole family loved them.

TURKEY WONTON CUPS
Chinese New Year comes around every year. It is a great learning experience for families with children. Learning about other cultures and the celebrations they hold dear is essential for kids.

It is also fun to introduce children to food from other cultures. Our kids already love Asian food so that one is easy for me!!
INGREDIENTS
It only takes six ingredients to make this recipe.
- ground turkey meat
- Hoisin Sauce
- diced shredded carrots
- soy sauce
- minced garlic
- wonton wrappers

HOW TO MAKE TURKEY WONTON CUPS
I like quick and easy snacks and appetizers. Turkey wonton cups don't take long and they look great on a tray at a party.
STEP ONE: COOK MEAT
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
In a skillet, brown the ground turkey meat until it is cooked thoroughly.
While the meat is browning, spray a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup.
STEP TWO: BAKE WRAPPERS
Bake the wonton wrappers in the muffin tins for 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven.
STEP THREE: MAKE FILLING
Once the meat is browned, add the diced carrots, Hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and garlic to the skillet.
Heat this mixture for 5-8 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend and the carrots to soften. Stir occasionally.
STEP FOUR: FILL CUPS
Remove the baked wonton wrappers from the muffin pan and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops of the wonton wrappers with nonstick cooking spray.
Fill each wonton cup with about one tablespoon of the meat mixture.
STEP FIVE: BAKE
Bake for 5 minutes or until heated through. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
