BENEFITS OF EATING BEANS
One of the best benefits of eating beans is that they are full of fiber. Foods that are packed with fiber tend to fill you up faster so you don't eat as much!
Beans are a good source of Vitamin B. A lot of people eat beans for their protein content. It is a very common food among vegetarians.
Did I mention that beans are extremely budget-friendly? Dry beans and canned beans are cheap to buy and easy to cook.

HOW TO MAKE INSTANT POT 15 BEAN SOUP
Dry beans can take a long time to cook, but that time is reduced a lot by cooking them in the Instant Pot or any brand of electric pressure cooker.
STEP ONE: SAUTE
The first thing to do is set the Instant Pot to saute mode and add the vegetable oil to the pot. Add the diced onion to the pot and cook for about 5 minutes. Stir the onion occasionally during this time.
Now add in the minced garlic and saute for another minute or so. Now turn off the Instant Pot.

STEP TWO: DEGLAZE
Pour one cup of chicken broth into the IP pot and deglaze the pot. To deglaze the pot just scrape the bottom of the pot to remove the stuck on onion and garlic bits.
Add in the Cajun seasoning and the dried parsley.

STEP THREE: ADD BEANS
Now add in the 15 bean soup blend to the pot.
Add the chopped up strips of bacon and the diced ham to the pot.
Pour the water and the remaining chicken broth into the pot. Stir all the ingredients together.

STEP FOUR: PRESSURE COOK
Now put the lid on the pressure cooker and seal to vent.
Set the IP to cook for 35 minutes.
STEP FIVE: NATURAL RELEASE
Once the cook time is over allow the pot to do a natural release for 10 minutes. Then do a quick release to remove the remaining pressure.
Remove the lid and stir the soup.
STEP SIX: THICKEN
The soup is done and can be eaten as it is. If you prefer a thicker soup you can easily thicken this up by mashing some of the beans with a potato masher.
After mashing some beans stir the soup and serve.
