ALL ABOUT BANANAS

Bananas are probably my favorite fruit. I love the flavor and texture of bananas. They are readily available and inexpensive.

There are a lot of benefits to eating bananas. Here are some ways bananas can add to our overall health:

  • Bananas are high in potassium.
  • They contain lectin, which acts as an antioxidant.
  • Bananas have goodies like fiber, folate, and Vitamin C which all support heart health.
  • I love that bananas can be added to recipes to sweeten the recipe and reduce the sugar needed.

STEP THREE: ADD TO MOLD

Now it is time to add the mixture to the mold. A heart mold was used for this recipe, but you can use any mold you have on hand.

Silicone molds work best and are the easiest for these banana bites.

The mini chocolate chips might settle in the bottom of the bowl. As you pour the mixture into each mold, spoon some chocolate chips in.

When the bites are frozen, remove the mold from the freezer and pop out the desired number of bites and eat immediately. Store any extras in the freezer until ready to eat.
